The SuPer Project: Pride 2024

The SuPer Project attended Notts Pride 2024 recently and we had a blast! This year we wanted to do something that was a bit different, we came to the idea of period survival kits. They included items such as Organic tampons, SuPer Project reusable pads, condoms, stickers, sweets and SuPer Project merch.
Two days before Pride it was go go go, we had 100 kits to prepare. Mel painted the bags with the Tiger Green Textiles logo, Lily and Mark packaged the sweets and Jess began to fill the bags with the different items. By the end of the day we had made 100 period survival kits ready to hand out to people.
Fast forward to Saturday and we were ready! We were able to hand out nearly all of the kits before the march had even reached the market square, giving us free hands and arms to dance! We were joined by friends, family and SuPer Project supporters. The march finished in Sneinton Market where we then all enjoyed the weather, food and entertainment. We all had a thoroughly good time.
